RIASSUNTO
Gli impianti protesici in un caso di monoedentulismo: l'analisi retrospettiva a 27 anni. L'autore descrive un caso di monoedentulismo di un incisivo centrale superiore risolto nel 1972 con lama a moncone avvitabile ed ancora perfettamente funzionante nella bocca del paziente dopo 27 anni. Questo caso rappresenta molto probabilmente il monoimpianto che in tutta la letteratura mondiale sull’argomento può documentare il più lungo tempo di permanenza nel cavo orale. Per la durata di un impianto sono fondamentali la biocompatibilità del metallo, l’igiene orale e soprattutto il controllo gnatologici sistematico sia dell’occlusione centrica sia dei movimenti dinamici di Bennet.

ABSTRACT
Prosthetic implants in monoedentulism : retrospective case analysis after 27 years. The Author return to a case of a single prosthesic implant resolved in 1972 and still perfectly functioning in the mouth of the patient after 27 years. This is probably the longest documented case published in the literature. All one or two stage prosthetic implants can last in a functioning manner for a long time in a patient’s mouth, regardless of its morphology and the surgical technique used to insert it. Their duration over time fundamentally depend on the biocompatibility of the metal, the degree of hygiene and systematic gnathological control and Bennet’s dynamic movements.
